Which social media platform should you post on?

I get this question all the time: "Pat, should I be on every platform?"

Here's my honest answer: please don't. At least not yet.

Look, I used to preach the "be everywhere" strategy. And it works… eventually.

You can't START everywhere. That's a recipe for burnout and mediocre content across all platforms.

I know it's tempting. You see other creators crushing it on TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram… and you think you need to be everywhere.

But here's what I've learned after 15+ years: the hardest thing for an early entrepreneur is to maniacally focus on one thing.

Pick the platform that resonates with you most. The one that feels natural in your gut.

Love writing? Start with LinkedIn or Twitter.
Visual storyteller? Instagram or TikTok.
Want to go deep? YouTube.

Do that ONE thing exceptionally well. Get really, really good at it. Build your audience there first.

Then – and only then – slowly expand to being everywhere.

What platform feels most natural to you right now?
