People sometimes ask what books helped me make my first $1,000,000 before 30.

People sometimes ask what books helped me make my first $1,000,000 before 30.

And I always want to answer that carefully, because it wasn’t like I read a few books and suddenly everything worked. That’s not real life.

But books were one of the only ways I could access better strategies, ideas, and ways of thinking when I didn’t grow up around entrepreneurs or wealthy people.

So a lot of nights looked like this:
Kids asleep.
Laptop open.
Highlighter in hand.
Trying to understand how people built things.

Some more that really stuck with me (that I've read more recently):

We Should All Be Millionaires — Rachel Rodgers
Dare to Lead — Brené Brown
What Happened to You? — Dr. Bruce D. Perry & Oprah Winfrey
Stories That Stick — Kindra Hall
Sway — Christina Del Villar

And then some business/marketing ones I come back to a lot:

Building a StoryBrand — Donald Miller
This Is Marketing — Seth Godin
Never Split the Difference — Chris Voss
Clockwork — Mike Michalowicz

None of these are magic….

But sometimes a single paragraph changes how you price something.
Or how you communicate.
Or how you see your own potential.

And when you stack enough of those moments together over time, they can change a lot.

Curious what book changed the way you think the most. ❤️
