i’m not running anyone else’s race.

somewhere along the way i stopped checking who was ahead.

not because i transcended anything.

but because it was messing with my head and my pace.

i’m not running anyone else’s race.
i’m running mine. sometimes barefoot. sometimes messy. sometimes very on purpose.

and when i look back
i’m better than i was last year. not louder. not flashier.
just clearer. steadier. more honest with myself.

spiritually. mentally. financially.
that counts. even if no one’s noticed yet.
