sometimes your people are still on their way to you (or they're already in your life – becoming who they need to be – just like you). 

sometimes the friendships you’re praying for are literally being built in real time… in other lives… in other cities… in other seasons… and they haven’t crossed into yours yet.

but they will.

and when they do, it won’t feel like chasing.
it’ll feel like relief.
like your nervous laughter finally settling.
like you can be fully yourself and it only makes them love you more.

until then, your small circle isn’t a punishment.
