That was fine… until “later” showed up with penalties and stress 😭

If you’re building a business and don’t know where to start with taxes, here’s what I wish I’d known:

1. Learn the basics – Notion’s free templates, IRS small biz guides, and simple YouTube channels (not the bro-y ones) can teach you 80% of what you need to know.
2. Track everything – Mileage, meals, software, subscriptions, coaching. Use an app like Keeper or QuickBooks.
3. Ask better questions – The right CPA can save you thousands… but only if you’re asking how to plan, not just file.

The more you understand the rules, the more you get to play the game.

And trust me – the tax code is able to worked with (consult with a tax professional before you use it smartly!!).
