For those who didn’t get safe childhoods and now buy childhood dream toys…

I stopped making fun of “childish” hobbies when I realized something:

A lot of adults aren’t being dramatic.
They’re being tender.
They’re stitching back pieces that got skipped.

Some people didn’t get safe play.
Or soft mornings.
Or the freedom to be messy and loud and weird.
They got survival. They got responsibility. They got “grow up” way too early.

So now when I see an adult collecting Legos, watching cartoons, roller skating, coloring, gaming, making friendship bracelets, wearing the sparkly shoes, rebuilding their childhood in tiny little joys…

I don’t think “cringe.”

i love that for them.
Because healing doesn’t always look like journaling and green juice.
Sometimes it looks like buying the thing you wanted at 9
and finally getting to keep it.

So yeah. let people be “childish.”
Some people are meeting themselves for the first time.
