Before kids, I thought the ultimate goal was the “perfect beach body.”
Before kids, I thought the ultimate goal was the “perfect beach body.” Flat stomach, toned abs, the whole thing. Especially as a teenager in y2k.
Then life happened……
Pregnancies.
Babies.
Late nights.
Piggyback rides.
A lot of snacks I didn’t personally eat somehow ending up stuck to me.
And somewhere along the way my stomach changed. It’s softer. It’s not perfectly flat. Sometimes there are mysterious objects involved apparently. ⭐️
But here’s the thing I wish someone had told me earlier.
Most of what we see online is the highlight reel.
People usually aren’t posting the messy parts of life
They’re posting the polished moments.
I try to share the real parts too. Not because everything needs to be public, but because I remember how easy it was to think everyone else had life perfectly together while I was still figuring things out.
This “mom stomach” has carried babies.
It’s powered through long work days.
It’s strong enough to lift kids, move furniture, and keep going even when I’m tired.
And apparently… it can also temporarily store Lego pieces and fruit snacks. 😂
Not exactly the beach body I imagined years ago.
But honestly, I’m pretty grateful for it. ❤️
