We eloped 13 days after meeting

True story. Most people know that Poul and I met and got married 13 days later.

You know what really sealed the deal for me?

He brought me a gift on the first "official" date, and I was rolling my eyes internally because I thought it was going to be flowers or a candle or a picture frame or something cheesy and stupid.

When he gave me the gift, I put it away instead of opening it.

But he insisted "No, open it now."

So I prepared myself to say "Awww thanks" while feeling awkward.

I opened the gift – and it was a pack of butter.

A few days earlier he saw that I put butter in my coffee, and he was teasing me with the gift.
YEP. THIS IS IT. HE'S THE ONE.

I laughed SO hard and knew our lives would be full of smiles and laughter.

And so it is.
