I found out my husband has an internal monologue.
Okay wait because this one is actually WILD and I feel like we need to talk about it for a second…
I found out my husband has an internal monologue.
Like… a literal VOICE in his head narrating his thoughts.
you mean… full sentences?? all the time??
Because mine is not that.
Mine is like…
a chaotic word cloud
half sentences
random phrases
visual flashes
memories
to do lists
song lyrics from 2007 (shakira and linkin park)
and like 7 conversations happening at once
There is no narrator.
There is no calm, linear thought process.
And apparently this is actually a thing.
Some people have a clear internal voice
Some people think in images
Some people process in concepts, patterns, or feelings instead of words
Which explains SO much about how people:
communicate
learn
create content
and even misunderstand each other
Because if you’re writing content thinking “everyone hears this like I do”… they don’t.
Some people need you to say it clearly
Some people need to SEE it
Some people need examples
Some people need repetition
Which is why your content might feel “clear” to you… but confusing to someone else
Not because it’s bad
but because brains process differently
Also I’m still not over the fact that some of you just… have a voice in there narrating your life like a documentary
like?? is it peaceful?? is it annoying?? does it ever clock out??
tell me in the comments because I am fascinated 😂
