10 advanced marketing books

These are not beginner business books.

These are the kinds of books that made me think harder about offers, messaging, buyer psychology, direct response, positioning, and what actually moves people to act.

A few are older.
Some of the examples are absolutely dated.
But the frameworks inside them are still incredibly strong.
(Do due diligence on authors before reading without checking)

Breakthrough Advertising by Eugene Schwartz
Great Leads by Michael Masterson and John Forde
Making Them Believe by Dan Kennedy
Ben Settle’s Big Book of Business by Ben Settle
The Irresistible Offer by Mark Joyner
Cashvertising by Drew Eric Whitman
The Big Book of Words That Sell by Robert Bly
Overdeliver by Brian Kurtz
Sway by Christina Del Villar
Stories That Stick by Kindra Hall

(Also – heads up… Do your own research on these people – while their books had great principles in them, some have made iffy life decisions)

A few more I personally love:

Ogilvy on Advertising by David Ogilvy
Confessions of an Advertising Man by David Ogilvy
Pre-Suasion by Robert Cialdini
Influence by Robert Cialdini
No B.S. Marketing to the Affluent by Dan Kennedy
Sell Like Crazy by Sabri Suby

Some books help you feel inspired.
These help you see what is actually happening on the page, in the funnel, in the offer, and in the mind of the buyer.

That is why I keep coming back to them. ❤️
