“I’m waiting until I have more followers to start posting.”
One of the most common things I hear from people who want to grow online is:
“I’m waiting until I have more followers to start posting.”
And I completely understand the instinct.
It feels vulnerable to post when the room isn't listening yet.
When only a few people see it.
When you’re still figuring things out.
But social media has a bit of a chicken and egg problem.
If you wait until you have followers to post content… how will you get followers?
Almost everyone you follow now started the same way:
Posting to a small audience.
Experimenting.
Learning what resonates.
Improving a little each time.
None of us begin with a crowd.
The audience usually comes after the practice.
So if you’re in that early stage, try not to treat the quiet phase like failure. Think of it more like rehearsal. A chance to find your voice, test ideas, and get comfortable sharing.
Most of the growth happens during that part anyway.
And later, when more people are watching, you’ll be really glad you started before you felt ready. 💪
